Skinnarila Patrol Competition

Agenda 

Up to 20 teams in total, including professionals and amateurs, will compete in the patrol competition. It is a task race that will run through Skinnarila and neighbouring locations, involving both urban and natural landscapes. 

Rules

1. Everyone can participate in the competition regardless of their preparation and experience. 

2. Teams must choose their division: professionals or amateurs. Professionals will have more competitive requirements and be separated from the amateurs for the winners' rating. 

3. Dress code: professionals are encouraged to wear their field uniform, and amateurs to wear their overalls. However, in the case of the absence of such clothing, participants are free to choose their own outfit. 

4. Compulsory equipment: teams will receive a list of requirements for the compulsory equipment. Participants will be informed in advance, and the equipment isn't very specific and can be found in every household.

5. Participants will receive maps of the area and will be instructed about the trail and the checkpoint locations. 

6. Using any navigational electronic devices or apps is possible. A smartphone is required for several points.

Detailed timetable of the event

09:30 — Meeting in the LUT, raffle of the team numbers and order
10:00 — Start of first teams
13:00 — Return of first teams, start of last teams
16:00 — Planned arrival of last teams from the trail
17:00 — Celebration, winners, etc.
18:00 — Afterparty, free nice food and sauna (LUT Rantasauna)
23:30 — End of the afterparty

Teams approximate departure and arrival

There will be a maximum of 10 starting times, with a maximum of 2 teams per start. Teams will move in opposite directions. If we receive fewer teams as participants, we will inform all the participants about shifting the timetable.
